Brr, it's cold out there in North Texas! I took my kids to school this morning and bundled them up like the little kid in the movie The Christmas Story. Not only us, but all the parents and kids shuffled in and out with their hats, scarfs and heaviest coats to stay warm. It's easy to remember to bundle up our loved ones, but what about protecting your home or business from the freezing temperatures? If you're a homeowner I'm sure you've uttered those words or something like theat many times, as I have just this week when my refigerator went out. Let's face it, like it or not, sometimes bad things happen to good homes. Often they seem to happen at the worst times too (like when you're already running late to get the kids to school, get to work, etc.) So, what are you supposed to do when that freezer line busts and sends water all over your kitchen and dining room? Or when that hot water heater goes out, or the kids "accidentally" leave the water running and the bathtub overflows?
ServiceMaster of Greater Dallas & North Texas is proud to embark on a new adventure, the launch of our 1st Annual Toys For Tots Toy Drive, which will run from October 26 to December 2, 2009. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our office! Our marketing team has been very busy preparing and distributing toy collection boxes to nearly 30 local insurance agencies that have graciously agreed to participate in our toy drive. Each year for the last sixty years, the Toys For Tots program, operated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, serves to deliver a message of hope to millions of less fortunate youngsters across the United States through the gift of shiny new toys at Christmastime. The Toys For Tots Program is a testament to the positive impact that can be made in a local community through the willingness of citizens and businesses to band together for a common goal.
